Nadroga Netball Association is thrilled to officially kick off the 2025 Netball Season with the highly anticipated 2025 Nadroga Netball Knockout Tournament! Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd, at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. The official program will commence at 9:30 AM, with the first center pass set for 10:00 AM.
This year, we have 10 clubs participating with a total of 28 teams spread across 5 exciting grades. We’re excited to announce that we’ve expanded from last year’s 3 grades to include 2 additional grades, providing a fantastic opportunity for younger girls to dive into club netball right here in Nadroga. The Lewa Hewa division (14 & Under) will showcase 6 teams, while Bulikula (17 & Under) will feature 5 teams. The Hakwa Princes (21 & Under) will have 4 teams competing. In the open women’s grade, 7 teams will battle it out, and the men’s grade will boast 6 teams joining in on the action.
Avinesh “Juddy” Kumar, the president of the Nadroga Netball Association, expresses heartfelt gratitude to all the clubs for their hard work in assembling teams and getting the season rolling. We are proud to be among the first associations to kick off our season with a specific goal in sight: to allow ample time to complete club games and establish a high-performance league that will serve as the pathway to becoming a Nadroga Stallion. The Nadroga Stallion team competes in the Netball Fiji-organized super league.
Later this year, we’re also excited to announce plans for a competition specifically for younger girls, the introduction of KidsNet, and a business house competition.
Juddy also shared that the association has successfully completed its first-ever annual report, which will be available on the Nadroga Netball website, as well as hard copies distributed to our valued stakeholders. We’re thankful for our sponsors who have already stepped up to support us as we launch this season, and we’re actively working on finalizing agreements with additional corporate organizations eager to join us on this journey.
