
Nadroga Netball Association would like to congratulate the Nadroga Primary School Netball Association for coming together to complete the highly anticipated Inter-Cluster Tournament and finalizing the Nadroga teams to National Finals which will be held at Lawaqa Park Sigatoka, this year. The national finals are scheduled from the Tuesday 29th of April to Thursday 1st of May.
The exciting event brought together three clusters: Central, Nadroga West, and North West. The primary objective was to identify and select the best young talent to represent Nadroga in the upcoming Fiji Primary School Netball Championship 2025 To achieve this, a series of matches were organized for each grade, ranging from Under 9 to Under 14. These matches provided a platform for young players to showcase their skills and passion for the sport. The selection process was rigorous, with coaches and selectors carefully evaluating each player’s performance to choose the best to represent Nadroga at the National Finals.
The tournament was a resounding success, with all three clusters displaying impressive teamwork and sportsmanship. The event also highlighted the significant growth and development of netball at the grassroots level in Nadroga. Mrs. Nahauvina, Coordinator of the Nadroga West Cluster, shared her insights on the evolution of netball at the primary school level. “Netball has undergone a remarkable transformation over the years. The sport has become more competitive, and the skills displayed by these young players are truly impressive. The Inter-Cluster Tournament has provided a wonderful opportunity for our young talent to shine and for us to identify potential stars for the future.” The Inter-Cluster Tournament has not only helped to promote netball within the Nadroga Primary School community but has also fostered a sense of camaraderie and friendly competition among the clusters. As the selected players prepare to represent Nadroga in upcoming competitions, the excitement and anticipation are palpable.
The success of this tournament would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the coordinators, coaches, selectors, and volunteers. Their dedication and passion for the sport have been instrumental in shaping the young players and providing them with a platform to excel. The games were held at Nadroga Arya College on Friday the 4th of April. . As the Nadroga primary school netball community continues to grow and thrive, one thing is certain – the future of netball in the region is bright, and these young players are poised to make their mark on the sport.
